Correl8 operates its own, fully managed, fully supported virtualised servers. What does this mean? Well for a start we only host our own Correl8 customers, on our own Correl8 servers. We're not sharing our servers with a host of other companies. This in turn means that we are not sharing 'server resources' either.

Correl8's hosting solutions are dedicated to our customers. We have full control over the software, backup schedules and security. All of our servers are supported by a team of professional engineers, so if, in the unlikely event, we run into any issues; we have a team on-hand to assist with any support.

Also our shared and dedicated server environments are pro-actively monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Should something occur in the early hours of the morning, our team will make every best effort to resolve the issues. This provides us (and our customers) with a bit of extra piece of mind.

UAT means: user acceptance testing. Live means the 'live' (to the public) web server environment. So, most people probably understand that a live website is the content running on your main domain name, that's available to view by anyone with access to the internet. UAT probably needs a little more explanation.

UAT means the same as staging or development. All Correl8 websites will run on two entirely different servers. They will however have the same setup and configuration and will be running the same software. What does this mean to our clients? Well, it means that any website, or custom application can be built and checked at an entirely different URL (normally: company.staging.dev.correl8.com). When we come to push the website live, it will run and function exactly the same way it did within the UAT environment.

Maybe not such a big deal for a standard website, but for something more complex, or an eCommerce site, everything needs to be working correctly prior to launch, and this way we can minimise any potential issues once live.

All of our Correl8 servers are covered by the highest service level agreements available. We have a guaranteed uptime and response rate, should at the worst, anything happen. We have our own dedicated account team, and you will have your own dedicated Correl8 account manager.

Each server is protected by its own security infrastructure, being either hardware or software firewalls; or a mixture of both. If additional security or further resilience or hardware is required, then we can tailor something to match your specific needs. The majority of web server ports are closed by default, and access is strictly via VPN only.

We have our own backup routines and NAS (network-attached storage) devices. That way we can be sure that all our website and databases are backed up, and stored offsite on a routine basis. All these measures are in place to provide our customers with the best hosting package you can get, without breaking the bank. Plus, if don't understand DNS, then don't worry! All our hosted sites come with fully managed DNS support.
